Help Us
Grow

We're upgrading our facility from a canvas tent to a  sturdy, weatherproof yurt -

but we can't do it without help from community members like you!

Include "YURT" in your public note and choose "Heroes Therapeutic Outreach Program" from the drop-down menu

Built for Comfort

The 24-foot yurt, created by local Shelter Designs, will feature a roomier space, hardwood flooring, and ample natural light. Perhaps most importantly, the structure will be weather and windproof, with insulated walls to better hold the heat during winter months.

Built for Healing

Although this project will benefit the entire South Sider community, it began as a vision for our military-connected members. For six years, our FREE Veterans' class has brought together more than 100 former and current service members, with a solid crew of returning "regulars" who benefit from the physical engagement as much as the connection to one another. Creating a safe, quiet space is essential to nurturing and growing this thriving community. This yurt will provide a permanent "home" for these deserving men and women.

Built for Community

Our new space will include a variety of aspects that improve the yoga experience while enabling us to continue growing the South Sider community with intention and heart.

Temperature Controlled

Our yurt space will feature sturdy, insulated walls to better hold the heat from our wood stove. In the summer months, we can open the windows and doors to cool the room.

Private

Solid wood and canvas walls will create a more private, sound-controlled space while maintaining the connection to nature that makes South Side unique.

Permanent

A yurt offers years of durability, with structural features that can be amended as we grow.
